Optionally render to a new top layer in Photoshop, finally please!

Hi,

Many plug-in devs offer an option for the plug-in to routinely render to an automatically added Photoshop layer, Alien Skin among the foremost ones.

I have been nagging Topaz about this seemingly easy-to-implement, basic feature several times before… ;-/

Of course I can (and have done so) make a simple macro to copy the rendered effect to a new layer and restore the original image below it. But why should I have to, when I could select an option in Clarity, Glow, Impression and Simplify, all of which I own (licenses for) and now Texture, which I'm likely to buy, and have them do it for me automatically if I so choose?

I almost never use a Topaz effect as it's rendered; I always tweak blend mode and opacity and/or add a layer mask.

So, please add an optional render-to-new-layer feature in your next updates across the range! Thank you! Image may be NSFW.
