This feature request is strictly hardware configuration based
Some of our customers have identified that several of our products do not support CPUs that utilize more than 32 cores, and they must set a limit on their CPU to use less than 32 cores in order to run their applications. The most prominent of these issues typically occur in our more technical applications, where batch processing is more likely to occur, like DeNoise.
Currently, the workaround involves either limiting the CPU core usage in Photoshop to 32 or lower. You can also limit the CPU cores used with a product like BitSum's Process Lasso.
Adding explicit support for more than 32core CPUs is a request that has been brought to us in the past, but only by a small handful of users. If you would like us to add this support, please vote for this feature request. It would also be nice to know what system you are running where you are using a >32 core CPU. Most of these are workstations, and are not typically geared towards image processing, so I am genuinely curious which setups you all are using that implement such high core-count CPUs.
