Plugins and Stand Alones...No Easy Way To Access Them All

The fact that some Topaz apps are plugins to Photoshop and Lightroom and others work only as stand alone applications is curious...why would Topaz create software that way? Moreover, it's frustrating not being able to set up all the Topaz apps to be easily accessible using pull down menus in PS and LR.

The solution offered by Topaz is to set up the stand alone apps as an External Editor, accessible by the Photo>Edit In...
pulldown (in LR as an example). But LR only permits Photoshop and one additional external editor. I have my system set up with PS and photoFXlab. So in order to use any of the Topaz stand alones, I would have to delete photoFXlab and replace it with one of the stand alones, then reverse the process to get back to the photFXlab access to the apps that are true plugins. This isn't a problem with the photo editing apps from On1 or Nik, as an example.

What a clumsy way to have to use great software. In fact, it's so clumsy that I don't use the stand alone apps very much at all, favoring On1 or Nik apps. Is this "defect" going to be corrected? i sure hope so.
