Perhaps I should know the answer to this, but I do not.
My Topaz plugins have both .plugin and .app files. That is, my system has both Adjust.plugin and Adjust.app binaries, Clarity.plugin and Clarity.app binaries and so forth.
I thought that perhaps the .app was an an actual external editor version of the plugin and that I could call it from my workflow tool (which is CaptureOne) but that did not work. I then tried it with Lightroom (as an external app, not a plugin), but that id not work either. SO, OK. I can not call Adjust or Clarity (or most others) as an external editor, but then what is the purpose of having a .app version of the plugin? Perhaps someone can tell me why there is a .app version if it can not be called as an external editor.
Thanks.
